One-to-One Coaching (Optional)
It is highly recommended to integrate a one-to-one coaching plan with the training programme. Coaching helps address individual developmental issues which might not be appropriate to address in the training-room.
How does it work?
An HNI coach will visit an agreed location once per month (your offices, or a hired venue), within one week after a module(s) has been run. Over a period of 2 full days, the coach will hold a 45-minute one-to-one coaching session with each participant (up to six per day).
Each coaching session will cover the following:
- What did the graduate learn in the previous module(s)?
- How is the graduate going to implement what they have learned, in the workplace?
- Does the graduate have any challenges with the assignment(s)?
- Review the graduate’s Personal Development Plan that resulted from the Training needs Analysis phase, if applicable.
Critical Success Factor
To achieve the goals of the coaching plan, it is crucial that you designate a representative who will work closely with HNI’s coach to facilitate discussions/requests with graduates’ direct supervisors or line managers.
It is also essential that the graduates are committed to their coaching plan. The value of the coaching plan will be reinforced by all HNI trainers and coaches, and must also be vigorously supported by your own personnel involved with the National Graduates Development Programme.
Graduation Project (Optional)
An optional graduation project may be included, to test the participants’ implementation of the key competencies developed throughout the programme.
